BuluBox is a health and fitness related box that usually sends out 5 samples per month. They have 2 varieties of box - "weight loss" and "regular". Weight loss seems to be mostly focused on metabolism boosting items and vitamins, and the regular box seems to be a little more workout and general health related. I receive the regular box monthly.
Opening the Box:
The first thing that caught my eye was (another!) Salted coupon. For those keeping count at home, I have received 3 of these now and still haven't viewed a video on the website from the first 3 month trial I activated. Any readers who might use this, let me know and I'll send you the code. Also in this box is a $100 wine voucher from nakedwines.com - we've already used one of these too, and given away 3 of them! We will probably use this one to pick up another round of wine for the wedding - the coupon is basically $100 off $160 and you have to order a minimum of 12 bottles, so we get the $170 mixed pack they have as a special. Not a bad deal, but they only allow 1 per account so we keep having to make new accounts. There's also a card describing the BuluBox Dietbet.com challenge! I'm wrapping up my first Dietbet this month, and I am totally excited for this. They're also adding to the pot, so you could potentially double-or-more your money if you lose the weight. I'm all for that!
In the box:
- SK energy shots - Ok, so this shares my initials, so auto love. I'm excited for the flavor. this doesn't have Taurine in it, so I am excited to try it for that too (not a fan of taurine) - $2.99 (35.99 for a 12 pack)
- Martha Stewart Digestive Health - Big full size bottle! 60 pills! Enough to actually see if it helps! What!? Bulu Box is actually listening to us or something. Crazy! - $16.99 (Full size!)
- Ovega 3 - Vegan omega-3, get the pun? this is only a couple doses, but hey, we all know what omega 3's do. This is just enough to test if you get fishy burps (no fish, so how could you?) - $2.79 ($20.99 for 30 pills, this is 2 2-pill packs)
- Rootology Breathe Free - Helps reduce outdoor allergies naturally. I'm not going to stop taking my Allegra at this time of year, but if I have a particularly bad day in the yard I'll take these and see if they help. - $0.75 (14.99 for 40 pills, this is a 2-pill pack)
- Sun Chlorella Granules - Not to be confused with cholera, which is how I keep pronouncing this in my head. This is basically powdered algae, which can be added to shakes, sprinkled on food or just mixed with water for a guaranteed gross drink. Next time I put together a strawberry shake I'll try it! Into my "additives for shakes" bin it goes - $3.90 (38.99 for a 20 day supply, I'm assuming one pouch is a 1 day supply and I got 2)
Much better total value than last month. And still well over the $10 a month subscription price.
How to get BuluBox for $3.75 (on average) per box
(and get full size products for free!)My referral link can be used to get your second box free after your first $10 box.
When you've used that promotion I recommend this trick: Regularly check the BuluBox blog for coupons. They frequently run a "3 months for the price of 1" promotion (1 month is usually $10). The best part about the 3-for-1 promotion is that a regular subscriber can use it! Make sure to "pause" your regular box from your dashboard. Use the 3-for-1 coupon to get a 3 month subscription, cancel the subscription after your 3rd box ships, and resume your regular box (or use another coupon from the blog, rinse and repeat!) March 2015 is my 7th box and I've only paid for 3 boxes so far (with 1 more free month still to come!) So for those keeping track at home I have spent $30 on BuluBoxes, and for that price will have received 8 boxes!
Bulu Box also offers a very generous rewards system. For every product in your box for which you answer a short survey, you will receive 10 rewards points, for a total of 50 rewards points per box. Rewards points can be spent in their store at a rate of 10 points per $1. So each box is worth a $5 credit in the full price store. I have gotten a bonus "Christmas stocking" sample box (20 samples for a $10 value), a bottle of D3 tablets ($12 value), and just ordered a BOGO deal on Shapeology burn blend ($40 value!), all for free with my rewards points. Any item that you buy that is featured in a box that month receives free shipping, so the only item I paid for was the "stocking" box, which was $2.99 shipping and handling.
I have spent $32.99 on BuluBox, and value for the money it is by far the best box I get each month as a result of the generous rewards program. With $62 in product for near-free from the store, and 8 boxes for $30 ($3.75 per box!) I don't see why you wouldn't want the BuluBox!
